Very sweet and professional staff. Warm and rich breakfast buffet, although we wouldn't have minded a bit more salad options. Very close to Cochem, but still well enough away for a relaxing night of sleep. Includes wine tasting on the weekends! The hotel has its small bicycle garage, which was great for us as we took our own bicycles with us from Hanau. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the towels abundant :)

I gave two stars, one for its good location and one for its friendly employees. I am not expecting anything fancy, but the room and facilities there are rather disappointing: 1. the family room was not fitting with the photo in their booking page, the photo shows a modern looking room but actually it was a old style wooden color furnitures room. Since we were two people so the 2nd bedroom was locked and not offered for us, but we did paid for the rate of a family room. 2. The old wooden bed makes load noise when you just turn or try to sit up. 3. There is zero sound prove, we heard upstairs talking and move around the whole night. We were lucky that we packed ear plugs. 4. the milk in breakfast tasted like water, but not sure whether it is intended, like no fat version, did not see a sign there was also no other option.

A great hotel. Room comfortable..if u go ask for room 20 with a view over the Mosel river. Water level was very high due to much rain. Food was very good wholesome fare with plenty of it. Will be a great base for cycling the region in spring and summer. Staff friendly but do nrush up on your basic German as English was a bit in short supply. Perhaps summer staff more linguistically qualified!!! Close to Trier 40 minutes by train €33 for two return ans Koblenz a mere 40 minute drive away. Do go to the suspension bridge across the valley'... see photo on 1st landing ... map available at hotel. Don't miss the wine tasting as the variety is quite good.
